Born from a Love of Chicago

Pequod's Pizza opened its doors in 1971 with a simple, uncompromising belief: that great pizza deserves great ingredients, unhurried preparation, and a space where neighbors become friends. Founded on the north side of Chicago, Pequod's quickly earned a reputation not just for its legendary caramelized-crust deep dish, but for the warmth it brought to every table.

What began as a neighborhood haunt became an institution. Generations of Chicagoans have marked birthdays, first dates, and family milestones in our dining room. Our signature cheese-edged crust — burnished dark and crisp against a cast-iron pan — became the gold standard that set us apart from every other deep dish in the city.

Today, operating from our iconic 2207 N Clybourn Ave location, we continue to honor the recipes and spirit that built our name, while embracing the next chapter of our story together with you.
